Log Cabin Quilt Card

This is my other entry for this months Papertrey Guest Star Stamper Contest.I was very excited when I saw that Papertrey was coming out with a quilting set last month. When I received mine I was a bit disappointed that the quilt blocks in the set were so small but after playing around with them I have come up with a lot of ideas for things to do with them. Unfortuantely I have not had time to try all my ideas yet but I will, so be on the lookout for more things made with them in the future. This is one of the ideas I was able to complete in time for this months contest though. I think the Papertrey 6x6 patterned paper is perfect for making quilt blocks and when I saw the Quilters Sampler Set I thought it would be a great idea to incorporate the two. I started by printing out a template for a log cabin quilt block then I want to work piecing it together on a piece of Stampers Select White Cardstock with the
Guidelines and Chocolate Remix patterned paper. I added a log cabin quilt stamp from the Quilters Sampler Set to the middle that I colored with my Copic sketch markers and a blender pen . I wanted to add a sentiment from the set but could not find a place to put it that looked right and did not take away from the block itself so I left it off. I finished the card by doing some faux stitching. Finished size is 6x6. Tonight at midnight the new sets will be available. After what happened last month I will be staying up to place my order. So far I only see 1 stamp set I have to have but that's okay because I really need to try and not spend a lot of money this month. That's it for now. I will be back tomorrow with some TV talk and a really cute picture to share with you. Until then have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Hi Terri, Cute Card. Great idea using the papers as quilt fabrics! I bet Nicole will be pleased. Good luck with your endeavor.
