Pillow Box Love

Happy Friday,  The weather has been super cold here for the last week but we have finally come out of the deep freeze and are enjoying warmer weather. It is suppose to be in the high 50's today and tomorrow. Very happy about that.
Thanks to everyone who left comments on my last post. Unfortunately my blog has been taken over by SPAM and I accidentally deleted  some of your comments in the process. I like to visit your blogs if you leave a comment so if you didn't get a visit from me that is why.
Sophie got sick  again last Saturday. This was the 3rd time now so she went to see a specialist on Wednesday. They think the problem is an infection in her neck not not her ear now so we have her on another antibiotic with a new pain med. Thankfully she is doing much better now just hope we are on the right road to curing her this time. Lily is also having problems with her foot now too. She did something to her back paw and did not respond to antibiotics so we are watching it for now. Hopefully is it nothing serious. I just hate it when animals get sick I feel so helpless because they can't tell us what is wrong. I hope they will both be back to normal soon.
I am still very busy with Etsy orders but made some time to make a few new Valentine items. Today I want to share a few of them. This is the first one.
My inspiration for this pillow box came from this card by Debbie Olson. I used the pillow box svg  from My Time Made Easy for the base which I cut out of Rustic White Cardstock. I sewed the gingham layer on to the box. I then cut some layers with the new heart dies and stamped the images from the With All My Heart stamp set. (Love that set!). Finally I added some tiny pearls to the middles of the flowers and finished it off with some Hawaiian Shores Saddle Stitched Ribbon.  I loved how this came out so much I made another one.
This one was made with a Vintage Cream Base and patterned paper from this digital paper pack. I finished it off with a Plum Pudding Satin Ribbon tied in a bow. I had some problems getting good coverage while stamping the heart image. I even used the new ink formula too. If anyone has any tips to get better coverage let me know. These boxes are perfect for holding gift cards too.
That's all for now I will be back with one more Valentines project to share soon. Until then I hope you have a great weekend.

Chalkboard Love

Happy New Year! I hope it has been a good one for you all so far. Mine started out great! I reached 300 sales in my Etsy shop on New Years Day and many more followed after that.
Even though I have been super busy working on orders, when I saw this weeks Make It Monday #98 Chalkboard Technique I was inspired and really wanted to play along. Fortunately I was able to squeeze in some time and this is what I came up with.
The sets I used to stamp the images were from  the new With All My Heart Set, Postmarks and Thank Big Favorites 11. The banner was made using the PTI heart dies, digital patterned paper strung on red and white bakers twin and finished off with tiny pearls. A piece of pure poppy cardstock finishes it off. I had a lot of fun making this card and hope to make more like it in the future. That's all for now I hope to be back soon with more things to share. Until then I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.
