October Papertrey Bloghop

Happy Tuesday! We have been enjoying beautiful weather here the last few days but the forecast says that is all suppose to change tomorrow. They are even predicting snow! I am not ready for that but unfortunately I can't control the weather so hopefully it won't be much. Today is also the 25th of the month which means it is time for another Papertrey Bloghop

This month we were to use this photo for inspiration

This is what I came up with.

The first thing that caught my eye when I saw the photo was the pumpkins but I decided to go a different direction and focus on the colors and patterns instead. I also wanted to continue with my use of the Year Of Flower images and the Marigold, this months flower was perfect for this color combination.
I started by using this months Sketch for you to try again but this time I flipped it. I started by coloring the Marigold and leaves with Copics. After that I added striped and polka dot patterned paper from Echo Parks Tricks and Treats Paper Pack #1 as well as Ripe Avocado Bitty Dots Patterned Paper. Next I cut out the Mariogold and leaves then I added them to a piece of rustic cream cardstock. Finally I added another layer to the flower for dimension with foam tape. Ripe Avocado Saddle stitched Ribbon and some machine stitching finishes it off.
I look forward to seeing what everyone else has come up with on Nicole's blog now. I hope the rest of your day is a great one and as always thanks for stopping by.
