Merry Christmas Pure Innocence Style

Happy Monday everyone. I hope yours started out better than mine did. Our dog Sophie decided to bring another dead squirrel into the house and I found it. It almost scared the life out of me. I was totally freaking out but knew I could not leave it until Rich got home from work so I got the pooper scooper put it in there and got it out. It took a lot of courage but I did it. I am still traumatized by it though. This is the 7th squirrel she has killed now and the second one she has brought into the house. You would think those squirrel's would learn to say away by now but they don't they keep coming back. On top of that my PTI order did not arrive today like I was hoping it would. I read in the forum that people in California got their orders already but nothing here. It doesn't make any sense since my order went in before midnight. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow and Sophie will not bring anymore squirrels in.
Today I wanted to share with you a card I have been working on all weekend. I started with Mercy's sketch from last week. This is the sketch.

This is what I came up with

I have been wanting to use this PI digi image from Heather Ellis for awhile now and since Christmas is Saturday I thought it was the perfect time to use it. I started by resizing the image then printed it out on Neenah Solar White cardstock. After that I colored it with Copics and added red stickles and silver German glass glitter to the tree. The background paper is from this digi paper pack. Berry Sorbet Grossgrain ribbon was added to the middle section. The stars were cut with the smallest Nestibilities star die then covered with Silver Vintage German Glass Glitter from this Etsy shop. I finished it off with some Simply Charturse Cardstock and machine stitching. I am also entering this in the Moxie Fab World Glitter is Glam Challenge too. That's all for now. I hope the rest of your week is a good one and you have a great Christmas if I don't get a chance to post again before then. As always thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

Wow Terri, I would have probably had a HEART ATTACK if my dog brought a dead squirrel in the house, I can understand why you'd be traumatized!

Sorry you didn't get your PTI order, mine came today in PA, although our mail didn't arrive until 6:00 PM and it's usually here by 10:00 AM! I thought it was a national holiday that I didn't know about lol!

On a happier note, your card is adorable! I don't have any of those PI images but I think they're super cute :)

Sorry about the dead squirrel incident. I would be upset too.
When we were doing some remodeling, we actually had a live squirrel get in. I was baking Christmas cookes, listening to the Nutcracker Suite when a squirrel ran across the top of the cabinets. Luckily DH was home, and with his handy broom prodded it outside.
I hope your PTI order arrives soon. I am still waiting on some out of stock items before placing my next order.
Love that PI image and the colors you chose. Thanks for including the Etsy store. I checked it out and I think I'll be placing an order after Christmas.

Love your card! This is one PI image I don't have yet but need to add to my collection. It is so sweet and perfect for Christmas. We had a squirrel incident too. Especially bad as it was a live squirrel and it ended up being in the house for a couple of days. We first noticed something amiss when some apricots on the kitchen counter had pieces missing. We searched and searched and had the dogs sniff around everywhere but couldn't find anything. We knew whatever it was had come in through the chimney but my hubby thought perhaps it had managed to get back out. When I went to work the next morning, I kept worrying and called the neighbor. She came over and found the little guy sitting on our couch! Luckily she was able to open all the doors and finally chase him out. Unfortunately we did get some chew damage on the windows but amazingly not one thing on any surface was knocked over or broken! We determined he must have been hiding in our sofa bed. Scary little critters!!

Love the card! The colors are fresh and lovely. My nephew found 2 newborn squirrels near a dumpster years ago and took them home and took care of them. One died but the other grew up and was like a pet--they had it checked out by a vet when they first got it-- and he would take the squirrel out in the yard and it would jump around in the tree and play and then run back in the house. They eventually let it go and it happily went on it's way.

sorry about the squirrel drama, but on the bright side...there can't be too many of them left out there, right? ;)

Oh Terri - I'm sorry about the squirrel. It would have made me queasy - and also kind of sad!

This card is darling and I love the pastel colours you've used with the image, so sweet and pretty! I hope that you've got some PTI since posting...I'm still waiting for mine (it didn't leave for 4 days after I got shipping confirmation :0(!
