December Papertrey Bloghop

First off thanks for sharing all your squirrel stories with me in the last post. Thankfully she has not let me anymore presents since then. I also hope all of you that celebrated Christmas yesterday had a great one. This was Emilia's first time celebrating it and she loved it. Rich went all out with the presents. She definitely was not disappointed. He even surprised me with a Papertrey Gift certificate. We were not suppose to get each other big gifts but he did it anyways. All Emilia and I got him was a record so I am feeling very guilty now even though he told me not to. I am sure I will have no problem spending it though. He also surprised both of us with an IPad. It is for all of us to use. Overall it was a great day and I feel very blessed.
Today it is time for another Papertrey Blog Hop

This month the challenge was to Use scraps of wrapping paper, parts of
holiday cards, recycle gift tags or bits of ribbon on a paper crafting project. Even though Christmas is over there is still a lot of winter left. Emilia has usually gotten to go sledding by now but it has been dry as a bone here so this is what I came up with.

The flower in the middle of the sled was made with ribbon Rich used to wrap our gifts. Below is a video showing how I made it. The sled was made using Lauren Meader's Hanging Holiday Sled Template. I ran the Kraft pieces through my Cuttlebug using the PTI Woodgrain Impression plate then I distress it with Chai ink. The base was made from Pure Poppy Cardstock. The sentiment on the little tag is from the On Ice Set. A snowflake covered with silver glass glitter finishes it off. Here is a photo of the sled hanging too.

I hope you will give these flowers a try too and if you do I would love to see them so send me a link. I am ready to start making Valentine things now so I will be back to start sharing them with you soon until then I hope your last week of 2010 will be a great one and you enjoy the video.
