Pink Saturday

I can't believe it is the end of August. Where does the time go? This week I am sharing this card for Pink Saturday.

I made it awhile ago but I have never shared it on my blog before. I made the background by pouncing wild plum and butterscotch alcohol inks on acetate that was sprayed with rubbing alcohol. The Art stamp is from Alluring Impressions. This card is now up for sale in my Etsy shop.
I didn't get to participate in Pink Saturday last week because my in-laws were in town but I am still going to take Beverly up on her challenge of linking someones blog that I have never visited before until now. This person is Emilie at The Kaiser Family Circus so if you have a minute head on over there and visit her today too. Also don't forget to visit our hostess Beverly as well to see all the other participants today. That's it for now. As always thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Pink Saturday!

Terri, this is in Divide ( the wolf wildlife center) you can go online at www.wolfeducation.org or you can call them at 1-719-687-9742 and they can give you directions. They have tours about every 2 hrs that last around 1 1/2 hours. Colorado has no wolves anymore, they have distroyed them all. The story of the wolf is a sad one and we don't seem to be learning from our mistakes. This center is a wonderful place and so interesting. If you are anywhere near here, you should go. Call them first and find out times and dates....they take reservations, but they are not required....hope this helps, Char

Oh and Terri, just wanted to say if you wonder how bad it can be, Idaho has issued 750 kill permits this year, and they only have around 200 wolves in the state!!!

Hi Terri! At first I though Yahoo made a mistake, but we just about share a name. I love the background on your card. I never thought of using my inks on acetate. I like the effect - very brilliant. It would be a good technique to use in art journals, collage, etc. I'm glad you stopped by to visit. I'll see you again soon!

Oh that is just beautiful Terri! I have heard as we age our eyes appreciate deeper, richer, brighter colors because the subtlies of fainter ones, are ever fading from our sight. But that color is just fabulous and I think I would've loved it at 20 as well as at -- ummm, 30? LOL, ahem.

BTW, TY for visiting me, your visits brighten my day.
