Pink Saturday

It's time for Pink Saturday again. I took last week off because I participated in the Papertrey Blog Hop. I am happy to be back sharing another pink item with you today though. Back in April my friend Barb started a group called the Sunshine Project and asked for help from knit and crochet folks, who had time to donate scarves for cancer victims in the Phoenix AZ, area. She went on to say there is a need for this as a comfort and a nice gesture to those going through treatment.At the time they were looking for at least 40 scarves to be donated. This is the scarf I made.
I have been knitting for about 6 years now and really enjoy it. I am not a fast knitter though. This scarf took a few months for me to complete but I am very happy that I finally finished it and it is going to someone that can really use it. The scarf was made with 5 different knitting patterns and is called a sampler scarf. You can click on the photo to see the patterns close up. I hope that the person who receives this scarf will get a lot of comfort from it. That's it for today.
