Happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one. Thanks for all the sweet comments you left about my Lady Bug Card and my Shabby Tea room win. They really meant a lot to me. I also found out I was made member of the month for my Etsygreetings team on Monday too. They were both a great way to start my week. We are also having beautiful weather here with more to come all next week. March has definitely come in like a lamb so I know it it probably going to go out like a Lion now but I am still going to enjoy it while it lasts. I hope the weather is good where you are too.
Today I am sharing a card I made for 3 challenges.
The first one is this months SFYTT
The second one is Totally Hues Challenge #3
The 3rd challenge is this weeks Make It Monday Monday #5 Distressing Edges.
This is what I came up with
I am continuing with my challenge to myself to use my Year Of Flowers sets. This month is the Daffodil. I started by stamping the large daffodil image on white cardstock at an angle then colored it with Copics. After that I did the Level Up Technique from the October/November 2010 Technique Junkies Newsletter on the middle of the flower and finished it off with some tiny pearls. Next I stamped the Aqua mist pieces with an image from the Polka Dot Basics set using Versamark ink then embossed them with white embossing powder. The orange piece was embossed with tiny dots. The patterned yellow paper is from October Afternoon. I stamped the word Mother from the Original Mixed Messages set and added some machine stitching to finish it off. I also distressed all the edges of the cardstock. Here is a close up photo so you can see it and the leveled up part better.
That's it for now. I hope you all have a great weekend and I will be back soon with more to share

This is so AWESOME! Great use of the patterned paper and the balance of color with your color combo is AWESOME! The color in your flower just pulls it all together. Gorgeous!
Beautiful! This color combo was very popular in the 70's when I was first learning to quilt (ugh...how old am I?), but it looks so fresh and new here.

What a great technique. I love the layered look on the daffodil, and I love that it goes off the page. I'm always wanting to frame it in the center, but it looks great off the page. What a fabulous color palette, too. I'm going to have to try some of those color challenges!
