Peeps Challenge #4 and Poppy Seed Challenge#2

Happy Monday everyone! What a difference a day makes. When I last posted I was telling you all how beautiful the weather was here well by Friday we were having a mini blizzard! That's Colorado for you wait a minute and the weather will change. Thankfully it is all melting fast and is back in the 60's again.
Today I am sharing my entry for the 4th Peeps Challenge which is hosted by Peggysue. We are to CASE a card Nicole did from the last 2 releases but we have to use a stamp that was not released that month. This is Nicole's Card I chose to case from this months release and this is what I came up with
As you can see the first thing I did was change the flower. I used the Violet from last months release. Ted from the Papertrey Forum mentioned that you can cut out stamped images with an Electric Cutting machine. Since I just bought a Cricut a few months ago I decided to try it and was able to figure out how to do it using SCAL! I even made a video showing how it is done this weekend which I will share with you at the end of this post. If you already have a Cricut and SCAL this is a great way to save money on dies and space to store them. After I cut out the flower with my Cricut I stamped the violet with Momento Ink then colored it with Copics. I just bought the rest of the PTI colors from Carpe Diem as an early birthday present to myself. They have the cheapest price I found and great service too. I also colored the leaves with my Copics as well. The piece in the middle was made by using The Faux Ribbon Set. The sentiment is from Blooming Button Bits. Since the card already had polka dots and spring moss on it I decided to add a button to the bottom right corner so I can also enter it in Lisa's Poppy Seed Challenge #2
Before I go I want to share a photo of a Chocolate Trifle I made yesterday to help celebrate the March and April birthdays in my Homeschooling Group today. This is the first trifle I have ever made. I think it came out great and everyone loved it! If you would like to try it here is the recipe.
That's all for now as always thanks for stopping by and I will be back Thursday with my Papertrey Bloghop project.

Great job with the challenges, Terri. The card is beautiful! Thanks so much for the video. I want to get SCAL soon, but I need to get Photoshop too, so I may have to wait awhile. But I look forward to being able to use my Cricut with my stamps. The trifle looks yummy. Those lucky homeschoolers!

The card is very pretty, but how do you fit it in an envelope?

Do you know if this process will work with the Make the Cut software? I am thinking about buying it and wondered if this scanning would work. Thanks!
