Pink Saturday and a Melon Challenge

ETA: I received a GSS honorable mention for this project from Nicole Heady. It is always very exciting to get one of those from her!

First off Happy 4th of July! It is hard to believe that 6 months of the year have already gone by. We don't have any special plans to celebrate the holiday here but I am happy to be able to share another Pink Saturday Post though. Today I am sharing something I made for my Etsy Sheteam July challenge. This month the theme is melons and this is what I came up with.

I started by using Lauren Meaders Pack a Picnic Template for the box and used Stampers Select White Cardstock as my base. It is kind of hard to see but I used my Score Pal to make a grid pattern all over it. Next I cut the front panel from some Raspberry Fizz Cardstock then ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I did the same thing with the top but used Basic Black cardstock instead. After that I tied a piece of New Leaf Twill ribbon around the top then cut out some seeds and attached them to the front. Inside the box you will find these.
4 mini watermelon note cards. I got the inspiration for these here but I changed a few things. I used Papertrey Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf and Stampers Select White Cardstock. I also stamped the seeds using the raindrop from the Scattered Showers Set then ran the whole thing though my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder before I folded it in half. There are not any bites in mine either. I think these little watermelons would make great place cards or thank you notes for summer parties. I will be putting this set up in my Etsy shop if anyone is interested in buying it. That's it for now. Be sure to check out Beverly's Blog to see the list of the rest of the people that are participating today. I hope you all have a great Pink Saturday and a safe and happy 4th. As always thanks for stopping by.

Oh my goodness, this is cute. I love that you told us how you made it too. Of course, I don't have a cuttlebug so I wouldn't be able to get those great textures and textures are so important! Nice work!

Happy Fourth of July and Pink Saturday rolled into one!
