It's time for another Papertrey Bloghop.

This month the challenge was to make something using text. This is what I came up with
I used this weeks CPS sketch for my layout. I also decided to finally use my Honeybee stamp set that I got for Mothers Day and to try a new stamping technique called Newsprint Revel from the April/May 2009 Technique Junkies Newsletter. It is a variation of emboss resist. The stamp I used for the technique is from the new Polka Dots Basics II set. I originally wanted to use one of the PTI Script stamps for the background instead of newspaper but I had a really hard time getting them to line up and stamp evenly. If anyone has any tips to help with that let me know. For the rest of the card I stamped the bee with Momento black and PTI Lemon Tart ink then I cut it out using a plain circle Nestabilities die and matted it on a scalloped Summer Sunrise circle. The Lemon Tart background was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and I stamped the Queen Bee sentiment on a piece of white grossgrain ribbon to finish it off.
