Dress Form Pin and Matching Card

Happy Saturday. I hope you are enjoying the weekend. It is cold and windy here but at least the sun is shining. It is suppose to be in the 60's on Monday though. I am really looking forward to that and so are my tulips which are starting to come up. I also wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes about my shoulder in the last post. Unfortunately I could not take the new antinflamatory the doctor prescribed because it made me so dizzy I could not function. I am going to try something else this week. Hopefully I will do better with that. Even though my shoulder is still giving me problem's I was able to finish this today.
I started by piecing together patterned papers from the All My Love Kit then machine stitching them together. I cut the chevron patterned paper from the same kit using the Mat Stack 5 die then stamped and embossed the sentiment from the matching stamp set. The dress form was made using this tutorial and the PTI dress form die. I also used Lily Pultizer fabric. Instead of making mine into a pincushion I made it into a pin. Here is Emilia modeling it.
I attached the pin to a piece of acetate then added it to the card with Scoretape. The receiver can take the pin off and wear it. A birthday card and gift all in one. One more thing before I go. My Father In Law sent us a Crock pot last week so I am making this for dinner tonight.
It is smelling really good. I will let you know how it turns out in my next post. If you have any good gluten free crockpot recipes to share in the meantime leave them in the comments I would love to try them. I hope the rest of your weekend is a great one and as always thanks for stopping by.

Terri,
Noticed you are looking for Gluten Free recipes. I have been on a GF diet for 1 month and would love to know more about making bread. The store bought bread we buy is for the pits! Do you make your own bread? Do you have a bread maker? Any good recipes? Sorry I hi-jacked you thread. Love your card...
