Fresh Start Tea Cottage

Happy Friday! I hope your first week of the New Year was a good one. I want to start this post off by thanking all of you that visited and left such sweet comments on my year in review post. They really meant a lot to me. I also finally got my desks cleaned off, reorganized and put back together enough to start creating again. It was a lot of work but well worth it. It feels great to start the new year with a clean and organized work space and I am going to try really hard to keep it that way. I forgot to take before pictures but I hope to share a few after pictures soon. I am still waiting for a few more storage boxes to arrive first.
Today I want to share a project that I made with a new digital kit from Amy Jaz Design called Fresh Start.

This is what I came up with.

I started with the Tea Cottage template from Creations By AR. I cut the pieces out with my new Silhouette Cameo using SCAL 3 and papers from the Fresh Start digi kit. I have noticed that the Silhouette definitely cuts a lot cleaner than the Cricut. I embossed the fence with the Woodgrain impression plate then distressed it with Chai ink. I added white baby pom pom trim to the front of the roof and flowers cut from SCAL with tiny pearls added to the middles on the fence. I stamped the image from the PTI Tea For Two set cut it out then attached it to the front of the house. Finally I finished it off with a Satin Rose ribbon tied in a bow and a Harvest Gold button. I filled the house with Tazo Calm tea bags but you could also put other things in it as well. The slot at the bottom opens so you can pull the tea out.

Amy has also released these Fresh Start Journaling Cards
to go with the Fresh Start Digi Kit. They would be a great addition to Project Life if you are doing that so be sure to check them out.
That's all for now. I hope your weekend is a great one!
