Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope you are all doing well. Since I last posted It has snowed here a couple of times and is still cold. It is suppose to be back in the 60's tomorrow though. I also spent way to much money on the new Papertrey Release again. I was really hoping that my order would be here this week but I finally got a UPS notification this morning and it won't be here until next week now. I really wish they would send all orders USPS since it is faster. Were the rest of you enabled as much as I was this month?
Today I wanted to start off by sharing the cupcakes Emilia and I baked on Saturday. This time she chose the Choc 'n' Cherry. The topping is fresh whipped cream with chocolate shavings and a cherry on top. Both Rich and Emilia give them 2 thumbs up.
I was trying to figure out what kind of packaging I wanted to go with them then I saw the current Embellish Magazine challenge
This is what I came up with.
I started by cutting down a pink lunch bag. Next I cut 2 6" circles from Raspberry Fizz Polka Dot paper then attached them to the front of the bag and cut the bottoms off. After that I used an oval Coluzzle to cut out the handles. I decorated the front with some Black polka dot ribbon and a doily cut file that I stamped with the cupcake image from the 2008 PTI Anniversary Set.
I put one of the cupcakes inside a clear bag, tied it with a piece of sweet blush satin ribbon then added it to the purse.
As you can see the cupcake fits perfectly inside the bag. You could actually get a few more in there too.
That's it for now. My niece's birthday is Sunday so I have to work on a card for her now. I will be back to share that you all then. In the meantime I hope the rest of your week is a good one and thanks for stopping by.
