Cupcake Monday And A Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday! I hope you are having a good one. Mine started off with the DVR in our bedroom breaking. It will not record anymore. Dish Network is sending me another one but I am going to lose all the show I had recorded on it which is not good. At least I can still watch most of them online though. Last week we also had a new furnace put in our house the other one was 17 years old and only working at 50%. After that I ended up spending a lot more than I should have on the new Papertrey release and am still feeling guilty about it but hopefully once I get the package and start using the things I bought I will feel better about it. I also did not get much accomplished because I had another bad week with my migraines but thankfully I was feeling better this weekend so Emilia and I baked again. This time we made White Chocolate Strawberry cupcakes.

These are the ones Emilia decorated. She also photographed them herself. I think she did an awesome job!
I was also able to make a card to go with them too. I used Jen Delmuro's Sketch this week as the base
This is what I came up with.

I started by printing out the digi Pure Innocence image from Heather Ellis. After that I colored her and the cupcake with Copic Markers then I paper pieced her dress. When I was done with that I did the out of the box technique so it looked like the cupcake is coming out of the oval then I matted it on another oval that was cut from PTI's New leaf cardstock. After that I ran a piece of Tempting Turquoise Cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Sizzix Dots embossing folder. The PP paper is from Crystal's Sweet Summertime Paperpack #2. I got it here The solid background piece is PTI Melon Berry and Harvest Gold Cardstock. A piece of New leaf Satin ribbon,3 blue brads and machine stitching finish it off.
That's it for now. I hope to be back soon with more to share. In the meantime I hope your week is a good one and thanks for stopping by.

What an adorable card! Perfect for your scrumptious looking cupcakes! I'd say Emilia does a wonderful job using the camera and baking! Hope your migraines are over for a long time. And good thing you found out now that your furnace was not working at full capacity. Winter is coming!

The cupcakes look scrumptious! And tell Emilia her photos look wonderful--just like pictures in a magazine! Love your card too. I haven't used that image yet but yours is adorable. Hope this week is better with no headaches. Know you will enjoy all your PTI goodies when they arrive. I too spent more than usual (bought a bunch of dies!) but know I won't regret it when they arrive!

I think Emilia's cupcakes look fabulous. I am getting nervous now about all these furnaces breaking, you're the third person I've read about this week and our furnace is 33 years old. Maybe if I say 33 years young it will make a difference? Ha! Sorry about the migraines, hope they've gone. And cute, cute card. Love those little mfp cuties.
