June Blog Hop

Sorry for not posting anything in awhile. I have been busy working on a lot of new things but I can't share them quite yet. In the meantime tonight is another Papertrey Bloghop.
The challege this month was to do something with transparencies. I have done quite a few things with them in the past but I wanted to do something different this time. I was having a hard time figuring out what to do until my good friend Linda suggested making a pillow box and this is what I came up with.
I started by cutting out the pillow box pattern she gave me from the acetate then I scored the fold lines. Next I stamped the flowers with black Stazon from Lisa Johnsons new Flower Garden set. To add color to the flowers I did an old TJ technique called Stained Crystal. I painted the flowers with perfect match reinkers mixed with crystal effects to give them a stained glass effect then I added tiny pearls that I had from when I did nail art to the middles. After that I taped the box together with red sticky tape then filled it with lemon drops. To finish the box off I tied a yellow organdy ribbon around it. I stamped the friend sentiment from the same set on a cuttlebug tiny tag that I cut out of chipboard and colored with Lavender Moon ink then I attached it to the bow with cream ribbon. Thats it. Hope you like it. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks for stopping by and have a good night.
