ETA: This project was a winner! Thanks so much Wee Memories. Happy September! It is hard to believe it is the first day of September with the 90 degree weather we are having today. It is finally suppose to cool off tomorrow though and I am ready for it.
Today I want to share a back to school project I made. It also qualifies for the current
Wee Memories Challenge and
JUGS Challenge too.
This is what I came up with

I fell in love with these little mini backpacks when I first saw them
here and thought this would be the perfect time to make one.
I started by cutting the base out of PTI Pure Poppy Cardstock. Next I cut the top piece and the pocket out of the striped paper in
this digital paper pack. When I was done with that I did some machine stitching then added Harvest Gold Satin Ribbon for the straps and bow on front then finished it off with a Harvest Gold button. I also added Velcro under the flaps so the receiver can open it.
Inside they will find these

3 matching notecards. They fit perfectly in the backpack. I used Tag It's 6 and Way to go Kiddo for the images. The rest is pretty self explanatory. I got the idea to add the ribbon from
this card and love how it finishes them off.
Here is the backpack and the note cards together

I think this would make a great gift for a child that is just starting school.
That's it for now I will be back Saturday with a new Sketch For You To Try. Until then I hope the rest of your week is a great one and as always thanks for stopping
by.
