This month the challenge was to pick our favorite project from 2011 then take it a step further by creating a second card that is inspired by it.
My favorite project of 2011 was this heart box. You can read more about it here
I took inspiration from the box and this is what I came up with
A Rose Heart Easel Card.
I started by cutting a heart from Vintage Cream Cardstock, then I cut and rolled the mini roses using Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz Cardstock. When I was done with that I hot glued them on to the heart. Next I added some cabbage rose seam binding and a cream button then I attached the heart to Vintage Cream Cardstock that I embossed with tiny dots. To finish it off I added a piece of digital patterned paper that I also used on the box, white baby pom pom trim and a sentiment from Think Big Favorites 11.
The card folds flat so I created this box to go with it since it is to bulky to fit in an envelope.
That's all for now. I look forward to seeing what everyone else has come up with on Nicole's Blog. I hope the rest of your day is a great one and as always thanks for stopping by.
