January Papertrey Bloghop

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week has been a good one. Today is the 25th of the month which means it is time for another Papertrey Bloghop.

This month the challenge was to pick our favorite project from 2011 then take it a step further by creating a second card that is inspired by it.
My favorite project of 2011 was this heart box. You can read more about it here

I took inspiration from the box and this is what I came up with

A Rose Heart Easel Card.

I started by cutting a heart from Vintage Cream Cardstock,then I cut and rolled the mini roses using Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz Cardstock. When I was done with that I hot glued them on to the heart. Next I added some cabbage rose seam binding and a cream button then I attached the heart to Vintage Cream Cardstock that I embossed with tiny dots. To finish it off I added a piece of digital patterned paper that I also used on the box, white baby pom pom trim and a sentiment from Think Big Favorites 11.
The card folds flat so I created this box to go with it since it is to bulky to fit in an envelope.

    OMY. Your card took my breath away. Amazing! You rolled all those flowers? Inspiring. This card is definitely for a special person. Making it an easel card will let one display it for a long time.

    What pains-taking care had to be put into each of these projects! I love the box but I think I like the card even more-and that it is an easel card to boot. Just fabulous! Makes me want to spend the afternoon rolling roses! :-)
